9/27/2020 Letter to JW friends

Dear Friends, I hope this letter finds you well, and that this letter from a fellow Jehovah’s Witness provides encouragement and scriptural truth to you during these wicked days. The following scriptural admonition to “test all things” (1 Thess. 5:21) was included in the bible for our day, because over time, many would arise who would claim to teach in the name of God but in fact, be false prophets. Surely you are aware by now of Brother Jackson’s testimony given at the Australian Royal Commission inquiry regarding their policy on child sex abuse. If not, watch, or read the transcripts, both of which I have done. You can find transcripts on the Australian governmental website: childabuseroyalcommission.gov/au/case-studies/case-study-29-jehovahs-witnesses. Brother Jackson testified under oath and called himself and the governing body, “Guardians of Doctrine.” He also said something quite startling and contradictive to what they have always presented to be or insinuated. Brother Jackson said that it would be quite presumptuous for the governing body to considerable themselves “to be the only spokesperson for God.” Not only is the uncovering of their treatment of child and adult victims of child sex abuse a disgrace, but they have brought extreme reproach, claiming to everyone that they speak for God, but bringing the greatest reproach on God’s name (widely known name) by their abhorrent behavior, behavior and blasphemous words that do not represent God who “is love” (1 John 4:8). The February 2017 Watchtower, paragraph 12 article, “Who is Leading God’s People Today?” states, “The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction.” The governing body act as prophets, and equate their organization to Jehovah. “Return to Jehovah,” “left Jehovah” are common phrases you hear regarding those who formerly associated or were baptized into Watchtower. Does Watchtower represent the Most High? Matthew 7:15 says, “Be on the watch for the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they?” So what are the “fruits” spoken of by Jesus? Fruits are teachings. This scripture is explaining that you will recognize a true prophet from a false by what they teach. Does the teaching that claims to be truth, endure? Or does the teaching expire and need to be replaced…you can dress up the word replaced with “clarified” or “light getting brighter,” but it is still simply a teaching replaced by a new teaching. Or teachings that vacillate, going from new truths, back to the former or previous truths, then back to new. How blasphemous to say one speaks for Jehovah and Jesus but then change teachings “from Them,” which by doing so call God and Jesus liars! We are not ignorant to Watchtower teachings expiring. The organization historically has made predictions of end time expectations, dates that came and went (i.e., 1975, “end of twentieth century”) failed calculations using “this generation,” all of which were replaced by “new light.” They are false prophets. Deuteronomy 18:20 “But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.” 21 You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?” 22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.” Where does our loyalty lay, with our Father and Jesus, or with men who claim to speak for God and Jesus, but whose teachings prove they are false prophets? Where will you go to receive life? Look at what Simon Peter asked Jesus in John 6:68 “Lord, whom shall we go away to?” Simon Peter didn’t ask where to go! In John 14:6 Jesus told Thomas, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Many of us have been raised as Jehovah’s Witnesses, and some have apostatized from being a Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, etc. No matter how we became members of Watchtower, we have the mindset that we must belong to a man-made organization for salvation. What does Jesus say? Look at John 4:24, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Paul emphasized this to the early Christians in Acts 17:24, “The God who made the world and all the things in it, being, as he is, Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade temples.” As you also recall, upon Jesus’ resurrection, the physical Temple of God was replaced by a spiritual Temple of God. Spiritual Israelites make up today’s Temple of God - the anointed household – with Christ as the cornerstone (Eph. 2:20). Is the spiritual Temple of God made up of only a few anointed, eight? Or are all anointed part of God’s Temple today? 1 Pet. 2:5 “you yourselves as living stones are being built up into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, in order to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 9 But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that you should declare abroad the excellencies” of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Cor. 3:16 “Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that the spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.” 1 John 2:26 “I write you these things about those who are trying to mislead you. 27 And as for you, the anointing that you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to be teaching you; but the anointing from him is teaching you about all these things and is true and is no lie. Just as it has taught you, remain in union with him.” Has the governing body told fellow anointed ones to remain quiet, to “not bond together,” and appointed over to teach them, the Temple of God, not-anointed elders/overseers? Just as ancient Israel, spiritual Israel has defiled the Temple of God, handing it over to not consecrated “priests.” What happened to Uzziah will happen to them. 2 Chron. 26:16 “But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense. 17 Azariah the priest with eighty other courageous priests of the Lord followed him in. 18 They confronted King Uzziah and said, “It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord. That is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful; and you will not be honored by the Lord God.” Remember 1 Cor. 3:17? “…If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him..” Friends, “Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues” (Rev. 18:4). An army of spiritual “Gentiles” are defiling the Temple of God, spiritual Israelites. This, this is “the disgusting things that causes desolation, as spoken by Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place (let the reader use discernment” (Matt. 24:15). Dan. 8:11 “It exalted itself even against the Prince of the army, and from him the constant feature was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was thrown down.” Dan. 11:31 “And arms will stand up, proceeding from him; and they will profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and remove the constant feature. “And they will put in place the disgusting thing that causes desolation.” You and you alone answer to our Father and Jesus. Watchtower is not your mediator. Will you heed Matt. 24:16 and Rev. 18:4? The recent Watchtower July 2020 article said to “build your house of faith, use not only soft materials as feelings and emotions, but also hard facts and solid logic.” So then, friends, “test all things,” real truth always stands up to scrutiny. False prophets whose teachings expire, according to Deuteronomy 18:20-22, they are not to be feared.
